In this tutorial, I will be using the following image to demonstrate how to cut an image in Adobe Photoshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1) Open the file in Photoshop and save it as a Photoshop file<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saving as a psd file will ensure that the quality of the image is not decreased every time you save.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2) Duplicate the background layer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Right click on the background layer and select \u2018Duplicate Layer.\u2019 This is the layer we\u2019ll be working on. Click on the \u2018eye\u2019 icon of the Background layer to hide it while you\u2019re working.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3) Select the Polygonal Lasso Tool from the toolbar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If not listed on the toolbar, look under Lasso (as seen above) by right clicking or holding down on the Lasso Tool icon.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4) Cut out your image<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
